Do you take pride in developing and leading others?  We are a growing organization (this is a newly created position!) seeking a Parts Processing Supervisor.  We're looking for a detail-oriented problem solver who values and empowers their employees.  Qualified candidates must be Greenbelt Certified.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct supervision of 15-25 production workers who clean individual process control components.
  • Maintain an adequate quantity of quality parts to insure the consistent supply levels that meet the requirements of assembly personnel and technicians to insure that they do not have to wait on parts. This entails:
  • Insure that parts are processed within takt time to ensure steady flow to meet customer demand.
  • Identify non-conforming, rejected parts and assist in corrective actions to prevent.
  • Qualitative measure of operator output basis to allow for process refinement training development and performance to takt.
  • Create and maintain multi-media process to disseminate Quality guidelines.
  • Learn to analyze work order data to effectively issue and schedule work orders balancing multiple demands.
  • Learn the AS-IS work order system and contribute to its full implementation.
  • Set and monitor performance standards for departmental employees, both quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Continued refinement of existing processes, development of new processes, and development of employees.
  • Set tone for fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Support ISO 9001:2015 requirements, including personnel training and communications.

SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of five years of frontline supervision in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of a High School diploma with technical training preferred
  • Strong PC skills and an aptitude for computer use
  • Greenbelt certified

 

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Constant contact with Director of RTU Supply, assembly technicians, surplus acquisitions personnel, and manufacturing employees
  • Departmental liaison with supervisors of refinishing, machine shop, disassembly, instrument assembly and valve assembly.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • 6:00am 3:30pm basic scheduled shift with occasional overtime
  • Casual, professional attire for manufacturing in non-air conditioned plant
  • Must be capable of walking and standing for at least six hours per day
